a jog down the memory lane - Iridescence :)

Pausing the usual programming for this project I did with one of my best friends, who at the time was also a film major but went on to do amazing studies in food justice, in our sophomore year of college! Randomly found this on my hard drive lol

This project was for a technical film class - here, we paired up, created random sounds and swapped that sound with that of another pair of students. No one knew what sound they were getting until the swap was complete. Then we created a short video segment to that sound. My friend and I went for the found footage and experimental realm and thought we f*cked up after we were done... but the chaos & eeriness in the end product ended up growing on us and we kept it as is!

Surprisingly, just a few months later, this project incidentally won the annual student art show at our college and was the only piece in the film category to have won the award!

This brought back so many memories of our purest college days:)
