The second album from the Melbourne area band reached #1 in Australia and gave rise to three hit singles. The album also featured a track written by lead vocalist, James Reyne and bassist, Paul Williams, “Unpublished Critics”, which was used in the 1982 film, “Storm Riders”.
The track is featured behind Australian surfer, Simon Anderson, shown in action at Bells Beach on the western coast of Victoria.
“Unpublished Critics” was also a track on a soundtrack album released in the US on Peak Records.
Hailing from New Zealand, producer Peter Dawkins worked with a number of Australian/NZ acts including, Air Supply, Dragon, John Farnham, M-Sex and Psuedo Echo. Sadly he passed in 2014, when the Sydney Morning Herald described him as “one of the most successful producers of Australia’s golden age of pop and rock.”
