The Meenbog on the Tyrone/Donegal border slid last week into the Mourne Beg river.
After similar liquified bog slide disasters in 4 counties (Kerry, Galway, Leitrim and Donegal) Irish Freedom Party believe it's time to suspend the planning approval and erection of new wind farms without further study and risk assessment.
Wind turbines are expensive, subsidised and an intermittent energy source (which always need a fossil few based backup)...and are clearly an environmental danger. And as Wind Turbines can't be recycled...they are an expensive pollutant as well as a bird-chomping visual pollutant.
