GOV’T GIVEN TWO WEEKS TO MEET DEMANDS OF HEALTHCARE WORKERS

Healthcare workers attached to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) continued their protest action Wednesday morning on East Street, Georgetown calling for better pay and risk allowance. Kempton Alexander, General Secretary (ag) of the Guyana Public Service Union told reporters that the Government was given a two-week ultimatum to meet the demands of the healthcare professionals before they embark on full industrial action.
