Despite my excitement in this video, I do not recommend pre-ordering this headset until we get clearer information/see a reputable person try out a prototype.
A $450 SteamVR headset called “DecaGear 1” claimed as having HP Reverb resolution, facial expression tracking, hip tracking, and Touch-like controllers with Index-like finger tracking was announced not long ago.
Many people including myself were skeptical that a device from a new startup could exist with the features it touts. After a comment from Valve saying they had back and forth communication to ensure the device would for-sure work with Steam VR - It now has my attention.
