Unlike Rolleiflex, Leica, or Hasselblad, nobody knows Sarvis. This is a story of a forgotten failure from the early 1950s. There was a company with great ambitions to build cameras. But after a few copies made, they stopped and were then totally forgotten.
It bought one of the remaining units and shot a roll of HP5+ with it. Here is the story of Sarvis Fotex Akromat. Wrong design, wrong materials, wrong execution, and a wrong company.
And, please, consider subscribing to my channel so that this won't turn into a similar failure. Would you, please?
