He's actually a creative director at a Montreal game studio that was purchased by Google last December."
This entire video gives us a good launching point to discuss the nature of a symbiotic relationship with creators and game developers. It seems that some marketing directors and agencies understand the nature of how both can work together, but it seems that some thought processess are still a bit behind the times and a bit archaic. I think most people who understand this industry realize the potential value of collaboration and joint venture success, vs. pay to play/licensing approaches that don't generate good will or nearly the same amount of exposure. Information, exposure and access to a target market drive sales, and creators will always be able to deliver on that in a valuable way for companies. To act as if it's the other way around COMPLETELY is not only naive, but just uninformed. Let me know what you all think!
