Tomorrow is St. Martin's Day and to celebrate, I'm teaching you how to make traditional Weckmänner, also called Stutenkerle or Grittibänz in Switzerland. It's a super simple recipe for sweetened yeast dough that is shaped like a man, to represent St. Martin.
In some areas of Austria, German and Switzerland, these yeast men are given to children after a parade with home-made lanterns.
